According to a CNN report, the Justice Department has weighed in on North Carolina’s controversial anti-transgender “bathroom bill,” officially known as HB2, and the news isn’t good for the state. The legislation, which was signed into law at the end of March, forced transgender citizens to use the public bathroom that matched the gender shown on their birth certificate, regardless of their physical appearance or which gender they identified with.
